The door to a berth in the Big Ten Championship Game is wide open for Penn State and what was unthinkable just weeks ago -- a shot at the four-team College Football Playoff -- is within reach. Jamize Olawale Jersey . The question now is: Can the injury-riddle Nittany Lions (8-2, 6-1 Big Ten) limp through it?No. 9 Penn State, ranked eighth in this weeks College Football Playoff poll, is expected to play without its top three offensive tackles when it travels to Piscataway, N.J., to play Rutgers (2-8, 0-7) on Saturday.Starting offensive tackle Andrew Nelson was lost for the season weeks ago and fellow starter Brendan Mahon is not expected back this week. Compounding the issue, it was announced Tuesday that Paris Palmer, who had moved into the starting lineup at tackle, is done for the season with a knee injury suffered early in last weeks 45-31 win at Indiana. Promising young guard Connor McGovern also could miss the game.Michigans shocking loss to Iowa last Saturday means the Wolverines, Nittany Lions and No. 2 Ohio State all enter the week with 6-1 records atop the Big Tens East Division. Penn State still needs Michigan, which hosts Indiana this week, to lose again while the Nittany Lions must win both of their games. That doesnt seem all that improbable when considering Penn States final two opponents -- the Nittany Lions host sputtering Michigan State (3-7, 1-6) next week -- while Michigan still has to play the Buckeyes in Columbus.Penn State still has to take care of business, however.Although Penn States final two opponents are a combined 1-13 in conference play, the offensive line injury woes could set back an offense that has taken off under first-year coordinator Joe Moorhead. It leaves Penn State with just one starting upperclassman -- center Brian Gaia -- and a bunch more questions for coach James Franklin. Does he go to veteran reserves Wendy Laurent and Derek Dowrey? Or does he burn a redshirt in order to fill the holes up front?Despite the injury woes on the line, the Nittany Lions still lead the Big Ten in plays of at least 20 yards, while also ranking tied for sixth nationally with 18 plays of 40-plus yards.Sophomore quarterback Trace McSorley ranks fourth in the Big Ten with 2,390 yards and leads the FBS in yards per completion (15.4). He has 27 completions of 30 or more yards. Also an excellent runner, McSorley has had both a rushing and passing touchdown in five of the last six games, and his 304 rushing yards are the most by a Nittany Lions quarterback since Michael Robinson had 806 in 2005.Sophomore Saquon Barkley leads the Big Ten with 1,119 rushing yards and has scored 13 touchdowns. He also leads the conference in all-purpose yards per game (142.1).Rutgers (2-8, 0-7) will be celebrating Senior Night and is coming off a 49-0 loss at Michigan State. The Scarlet Knights, who started the season 2-1 thanks to back-to-back home wins over Howard (52-14) and New Mexico (37-28), have lost seven straight, all in the Big Ten, by an aggregate score of 290-73. They have been shut out in three of those games and scored seven points in two others. This is a tough year, first-year coach Chris Ash said. Its been a tough year. Its a tough time. But the way the people show up to work every day, the way they believe in each other, trust in each other and go work for each other has been impressive to watch, and thats what Im most excited about as we continue to move forward. The Scarlet Knights are averaging just 17.5 points and 296.1 yards per game while allowing 38 points and 444.5 yards. Running back Robert Martin has been an offensive bright spot, rushing for 547 yards on 105 carries, while sophomore linebacker Trevor Morris leads the team with 84 tackles and 4.5 sacks. Art Shell Jersey . For the first time in more than 14 months, Tiger Woods will tee it up inside the ropes in a PGA Tour event at the Safeway Open. The 14-time major champion is coming off multiple back surgeries and will kick off the year in the 2016-17 PGA Tour season opener. So what are realistic expectations for Woods at the Silverado Resort and Spas North Course? And what will his game look like under the tournament spotlight? Our panel of experts debate those topics and more in a Tiger-focused edition of Monday Four-Ball.1. What are you most interested to see from Tiger this week?SportsCenter anchor Matt Barrie: Body language. Sounds funny, but for the past two years, we havent seen Tiger play without some sort of limp, grimace, tightness or confidence. Watching him swing, walk and react will give us a decent indication about where he his health-wise.SportsCenter anchor Jonathan Coachman: I really want to see where his game is at. Can he be competitive right away or will it take a while? I am selfish and I want him to shoot a 64 right away, but I know thats probably not realistic. I would be encouraged if we saw Tiger in control of his golf ball and if he was able to shape it both ways. I know he will be fine, but I want it to come back fast.ESPN.com senior golf analyst Michael Collins:? Im anxious to see what he looks like at the end of his second tournament round. Round 1 will be on plenty of adrenaline. By Friday on his back nine, Tiger will be playing the game we can expect to see from him in the future. I also cant wait for his self-evaluation because you know hes going to come out with a new saying. Remember getting my glutes to activate?ESPN.com senior golf writer Bob Harig: Is he healthy? Can he swing freely, hit shots out of the rough, take an awkward stance in a bunker? And is he willing and able to practice after a round? All of these things go toward his overall health.ESPN.com senior golf writer Jason Sobel: The little things. Does he seem relaxed or stressed? Is he regularly stretching his back or does he look fully healthy? Will he try to work the ball both ways or will he have a singular go-to shot? A lot of little nuances that are better witnessed in person than on the TV broadcast.2. Why should we believe this comeback will be different?Barrie: He took his time coming back. The common thought about Tigers health is that hes rushed back numerous times, and it caused more harm than good. This time around, he waited until he felt right. If he is in fact healthy, and time was his best rehab, we could be in store for a fun storyline.Coachman: Because he took his time, did not get impatient and now is close to 100 percent. That is the biggest thing Tiger will need. He needs to go full speed in his swing and be confident in his short game. This year will be the reason he comes back better than ever. If anyone can climb back to the top, it is Mr. Woods.Collins:?We shouldnt. Tiger hasnt earned any trust from us when it comes to his health. I want more than anything for this comeback to last for two full seasons. Unfortunately, if he is in pain this week at the tournament, do any of you believe hes going to tell us? You must be thinking of Jason Day.Harig: Until we know for sure how healthy he is, Im not sure we should believe it will be different. But a good reason to believe it is the fact that he took more than a year away from the game this time. He didnt rush. He resisted the urge to play when he knew better. And lets be honest, there is no compelling reason to return now. He could have easily wwaited even longer. Jared Cook Jersey. He must feel he is ready to go.Sobel: Every comeback is different; every comeback has varying degrees of success and failure. I wouldnt base anything that happens this week -- or in future months -- on what hes done while returning from past injuries.3. What will you consider a successful week for Woods?Barrie: Making the cut. I have zero expectations for his name to be on the leaderboard. However, his body and swing needs to be tested for four days of tournament golf. Including the galleries, the mileage and mindset thats required for competitive golf.Coachman: For me, its making the cut. Lets be honest. Tiger is not immune to pressure and if he hasnt played in over a year, it will naturally take some time. Tiger will tell you success is a win, but I think he even knows deep down it will be so hard to win this tournament. So our answers would be completely different.Collins:?It would be a successful week for Tiger to get through 54 holes without any pain, discomfort, limping, gimping or wincing. I say 54 holes because that would include the Wednesday pro-am and the first two rounds. After being gone for more than a year, low expectations are warranted, even for Tiger Woods.Harig: Playing 36 holes pain free, being able to properly practice after the rounds, showing signs of making progress by doing the routine things properly, such as the short game. If Woods misses the cut, that is not necessarily failure. It is the manner in which it happens that will ultimately determine the success of the week.Sobel: He hits some decent shots, doesnt reinjure himself and looks like hes having some fun on the course. Anything else is gravy. I wont judge his success this week solely on the scores and final result.4. More likely, Tiger shoots 70 or 80 in his first competitive round in more than a year Thursday?Barrie: 80. While I think hell be around a 76, this first round for him is going to feel like a major. All eyes are going to be on the greatest golfer in the past 40 years for a tournament that otherwise wouldnt get a second look. He knows this is his last chance at greatness. And his first round will likely be filled with rust and nerves.Coachman: If these are my two choices, I will say 80. I dont think Tiger completely will have all aspects of his game. And if things go south, they could really go south without knowing how his back will hold up or stand up to competitive swings. But we will all be watching with so much anticipation. I am hoping he gets on a roll and starts shooting darts like we know he can. This comeback is so exciting because we dont know what to expect. And that will be incredibly entertaining.Collins:?70*. Tiger hasnt forgotten how to play golf, at least I hope not. I dont know that hell break par, but hell be closer to 70 than 80 in Round 1. I added the asterisk because all this speculation is on the premise that hes 100 percent healthy making this start.Harig: Given that choice, I think you have to say 80, although Im not convinced that is what he will shoot. Silverado is not necessarily a hard layout. It is barely 7,200 yards and plays to par-72. Nobody shot in the 80s at this event a year ago and there were two scores of 79. It would be a poor sign if Woods returned shooting that high.Sobel:?I get the sense itll be closer to 70 than 80. But I also think itll be closer to 80 than 60. Ill let you figure out that math. Cheap Jerseys 2020 Stitched Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China China NFL Jerseys Jerseys Wholesale Cheap Nike NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China ' ' '
